The Programa Brasileiro de Design- PBD (the Brazilian Program of Design) was launched in 1995 by the Ministério do Desenvolvimento, da Indústria e Comércio Exterior - MDIC ( Brazil's Ministry of Development, Industry and International Commerce ). The PBD aims to pro mote a more widespread use of design within the productive process of industrial sectors on a statewide basis.
